Na de onderdrukkende mensen overwonnen te hebben, is het aan Caeser om de vrede tussen mensen en apen te bewaren. Gorilla Generaal Aldo heeft aan andere kijk op zaken, en probeert een burgeroorlog tussen de apen te starten. Ondertussen leren menselijke overlevenden over de apenstad, en besluiten ze om de beschaving terug in handen te nemen.
